      How to play CakeFlag

      CakeFlag is a daily flag game: instead of the flag, you see a pie chart with the exact share of each of its colors. With that, and a few hints, you have to guess which country it belongs to.

      1. Look at the pie: each slice is a color of the mystery flag, sized by how much of the real flag it covers.
      2. Type a country and press Guess. Under your guess, the circles show which colors it shares with the mystery flag.
      3. Every mistake reveals a hint, in this order: flag design, symbol, continent, country outline and first letter.
      4. You have 6 guesses. If you’re stuck, Skip uses a guess and shows you the next hint.
      5. When you finish you’ll see the flag, your stats and the Copy result button to share it.

      Which countries can come up?

      The 193 UN member states, Vatican City, Palestine and 13 territories with their own flag (such as Greenland, Puerto Rico or Hong Kong): 208 in total. A few flags with almost identical colors and proportions, like Chad and Romania, are never the answer of the day, but you can still type them as a guess.

      When does the daily flag change?

      At midnight your local time. The flag is the same for everyone, so you can compare your result with friends.

      How do I know which color each slice is?

      Hover over or tap a slice to see its color name. It’s designed with color-blind players in mind too.

      What is Practice mode?

      Random flags, as many as you like. It doesn’t count toward your stats or your Daily streak.

      What do the squares in the result mean?

      🟩 you got it, 🟨 that guess had at least one color of the mystery flag, ⬛ it had none and ⬜ you skipped it.

      How does the streak work?

      It goes up by one every day you win the Daily. If you lose or miss a day, it goes back to zero.

      Do I need an account?

      No. It’s free and you don’t need an account. Your stats and streaks are saved in your browser; if you clear the site’s data or switch devices, they start from zero. More in the Privacy Policy.
